Cramming on the Long Weekend

I've been up for a while now, messing around with the new website, with no real luck. I'm struggling with the template part of it, as in the setup...I'll continue to work on things sporadically for the next week or so.

It's the long weekend (Canada Day!), and while most people are hanging out with friends, watching movies, BBQing, and all sorts of fun stuff, the two of us will be cranking out pages like crazy folk. Our to complete 16 pages by the end of Monday. We're up to 3 right now, so a combination of Red Rains (a Red Bull knockoff) and Booster Juice (mmm...Matcha Monsoon) will hopefully keep us energized and on track.

I've also changed where forwards to for the time being, which will direct right here to this blog. The old site is still active at if you want to check out how ghetto our site is...I'll also be slowly adding images and other components right onto the blog.

We're going to be setup at the San Diego Comicon (July 25-29), but we'll be at a totally different area. We'll be at H4, in what we're affectionately calling the "Stephen Silver Aisle". I know our old site hasn't had an update in forever, but issue #6 is done and printed, and we're working hard to bring issue #7, the conclusion to the series (yeah, it went another book) to the big show.

Well, that's it for now, back to working on pages!

so the only thing rolling right now is my head....figuring out how to setup the new webpage is like a different language...I guess technically it sorta is...I just really suck at it. I think it'll be really easy once the setup is done, because then it can get filled with content and stuff.

The good news...I'm saved! Laurie just handed me another page to ink/clean I'll work on that first.

Starting the Blog thing

It's actually a really weird time to start messing around with a blog....this'll be the first time we've blogged...and we're right in the middle (ok, maybe less than that...a lot less) of trying to get issue #7 done in time for this year's San Diego. We've always got a problem trying to get our books out before a deadline. A combination of procrastination, and genuine 'interference', but hey, that's life!

As another distraction, I'll be trying to redo our website ( too, which won't be an easy task. I'm not a very strong web guy, and it's been a really long time since I've even really thought about the site. I have an idea what I want to do with it, but I'm hung up on the implementation of it.

So, I guess let's see how things roll!
